

The SportsDome is running an after-school Olympics Program with the following elements:
- Leadership: Leadership skills development for children
- Teamwork: Learn to work in a team environment
- Communication: Improving communication skills for children
- Education: Learn from other cultures and countries – each child will represent a country
- Active: Learn how to be active and having fun at the same time
- Team Spirit: Learn how to be on a team and be positive and have fun
- Duration: 8-week program on Thursday afternoons, starts Oct 12
- Bi-lingual: Program offered in both English and French languages
- Prize: All participants will receive a t-shirt and a participant medal
- Events/Activities: Children will compete in 8 different themed events – they will learn how to compete, how to win and how to loose the right way
- Winning: Winning teams will receive a special prize
- Age: Teams will be composed into 2 groups: Group 1 will be composed of Kindergarden to Grade 2 children; Group 2 will be composed of Grade 3 to Grade 5 children
- Closing Ceremony Event: Country march, Medal presentation, Dance Event, Play against Parents
Day Schedule for Kindergarden to Grade 2 Group:
- 2:30 – Arrival at the Dome
- 2:30 – Snack
- 2:45 – Olympic theme game of the week
- 3:30 – Olympic education
- 4:00 – Olympic preparation game for next week
- 4:30 – Olympic free play activity
- 5:00 – Childcare is provided until parent/guardian picks up child
- 6:00 – Last Pickup
Day Schedule for Grade 3 to Grade 5 Group:
- 3:00 – Arrival at the Dome
- 3:15 – Snack
- 3:30 – Olympic theme game of the week
- 4:15 – Olympic education
- 4:45 – Olympic preparation game for next week
- 5:15 – Olympic free play activity
- 5:30 – Childcare is provided until parent/guardian picks up child
- 6:00 – Last Pickup
