PRIVATE: Saturday Gaming Party

FUN video game parties are now offered at the SportsDome. Great for birthdays, team parties, office team building, and friends getting together for a FUN activity.

Despite the popularity of multiplayer games, most gamers are home alone, while they game. Even with the use of voice chat, gaming has become increasingly an individual experience affected by others in game, rather than enhanced by those around you. During a PRIVATE Gaming Party, the Gaming Arena can be used to create a unique shared experience just like you would find at a PC LAN Party or during an epic session of Couch Gaming. Taking into consideration your gaming preference, we will organize a Rocket League 2v2 tournament, or perhaps we prefer to go head to head in some big games of Halo. We can see what team of 4 can best deal with the Zombies in CoD: Black Ops 3, or can bake the most cakes in Overcooked 2. You really haven’t enjoyed a true multiplayer experience until you’ve played all together in the same room, experiencing the same shouts, cheers, smiles and laughter.

If your group isn’t into the competitive gaming scene, we have some suggestions for you as well. More casual groups can share some laughs playing 8 players on a track together at Mario Kart where anyone can win in the last lap. We also have some silly gaming experiences guaranteed to make you laugh using games like Gang Beasts, Goat Simulator, or Fall Guys.

These are just a few of the types of adventures we can create using our Gaming Arena. For your chance to play, register a party using the button below…

Gaming FAQ

  • What games can I play?

The Gaming Arena focuses on the unique shared experience of ‘couch gaming’ therefor its games list drifts away from what’s necessarily the most popular, towards whats the most fun to play together or to play with a lot of friends. You really haven’t lived the best multiplayer experience until you’ve played a 16 person Halo tournament with everyone in the same room!

Here is a brief, and ever-evolving list of games (as of June 2023):

  • Can I make the payment in person?

Yes, you can go to the SportsDome office and pay for your party in person. Cash, debit, MasterCard, and Visa are accepted.

All party reservations require payment in full before being entered in our schedule. Our only drop-in sessions are on Friday nights from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Read More

  • Can I bring additional children?

Yes, you can bring additional children to the party. Every child will get a bracelet for the Party. You simply need to pay a $20 fee for each additional child. You should pay this additional child fee the day of the party at the reception desk.

Remember our common party is designed for up to 16 guests. For example, lasertag and gaming can only play up to 16 players at once. Having more players would need to take turns resulting in less play time.

Very large groups may moved to a custom party and pricing or denied entry.

If you expect many more guests over a common 16 person party, please let us know how we can help you by sending us an email to parties@sportsdome.ca
